Step 1: Transition Video
Gather Kids to the Circle

Begin by gathering the children for circle time. Play a short and engaging transition video, such as "Make New Friends Song" The Learning Station, which features animated characters welcoming kids to the circle.

Confidence and Self-Esteem: Successfully moving to music can boost a child's self-confidence and self-esteem. Achieving dance moves or creating their dance sequences can be empowering too. Little ones LOVE IT!
Step 2: Main Lesson
"Hickory Dickory Dock" Video

For the main lesson, you can use an educational video that showcases "Hickory Dickory Dock Elephant 🐘."

A great choice would be "Hickory Dickory Dock by  Super Simple Songs. This video modified the original version of the nursery rhyme to include a snake, squirrel, cat, monkey and an elephant. Kids like the creative variation where the original characters and elements are changed to make the rhyme more engaging.

Use the "Hickory Dickory Dock" Felt Set with a felt board. Have the children engage in a hands-on activity where they can use the felt pieces to reenact the song.
